Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld is a long book. Alek and Deryn met up again (like I predicted). This guy and his family, Zaven, Lilit, and Nene, are helping them. They are planning a revolution, telling secrets, and stealing taxies.
To get from the hotel Alek and Deryn were staying at to Lilit and Zaven's house, they have to take a taxi. They took a taxi and told the man the name of Zaven's neighborhood, people were watching out in that area for some reason. They had to push the driver off and drive themselves to Zaven's house.
They got back safely but then Alek realized that he had forgotten an important scroll. Lilit, Alek and Deryn had to go back and get it. They snuck in and got the scroll. While Lilit was somewhere else, Deryn and Alek told some secrets they were hiding. Alek told Deryn why the scroll was so important. The scroll was an important document which stated that Alek was the next emperor after the current one dies. Deryn almost revealed to Alek that she was a girl. Instead she told him about her secret mission. The reason she almost told him was because he had told her that Lilit liked her.
The secrets are important to me. This is because I'm always wondering when Deryn is going to reveal to Alek that she is a girl. I wonder how long she is going to hide it. Count Volger knows but isn't telling anyone. But she didn't tell him, he guessed and was correct. I can't wait until there is more secret sharing.
